You can choose from various jobs in the hotel industry, including housekeeping, beverage management in hotel chains, and chefs. Depending on your skill set and experience, you can also work as a porter. Most of these jobs come with excellent training, and most hotels have opportunities for full-time management.

Working at a hotel requires you to work for 6 days a week, and typically 10 to twelve hours a day. This is more demanding than in the USA and Europe, where you’ll work only four days a week. You’ll be required to speak English fluently, and expect to be under a team of international workers. In addition to that, you’ll be working in a country where temperatures vary considerably.

While the USA and Europe are closing down their tourist industries, Australia and New Zealand are opening up. Accor is one example of a new talent attraction program in the tourism industry. New Zealand is the perfect place to learn a new language. The working hours are usually 10 to 12 hours each day, and the work load is much higher than the average in those countries. Accor is launching a talent attraction program called Work Your Way, aimed at attracting young, talented people to join its workforce. The programme offers a range of perks and flexibility for employees, as well as an open-door travel scheme. It will target young people looking for a gap year or a career change. During the next few months, the company is looking to recruit more than 1,200 team members for roles in the hotel and hospitality industry.

To attract young people with a keen eye for hospitality, Accor has introduced an internship program with 22 educational institutions. Under the program, hospitality students will be offered paid on-the-job training. As well as paid work experience, the program will also provide career development opportunities and learning experiences through a training academy. The company has also ramped up its tourism promotions in New Zealand and is launching a trans-Tasman campaign.
