RAK international airport has a strange history. It was established back in 1976 by Sheikh Saqr Bin Muhammad Al Qasmi. Its first flight flew in 2007 but soon after this airline was suspended due to economic crisis. After suspension it relaunched again and suspended again in 2013 permanently. After then it started with the name of Air Arabia which operates different routes which includes Asia and Middle East.
